Ham Supper Slated for May 31 Come one, come all. One of the Church's most popular suppers is slated for Friday, May 31 from 4:30 to 6:30 at the GAR Hall on Route 219, Howes Corner Road about 1/2 mile from the Route 4 and Route 219 intersection in North Turner. (The road to Bear Pond on the west, you go east).
The folks in the congregation will be baking up hams, beans, hot dogs, lots of salads and, of course, those homemade rolls and desserts everyone is so fond of. There is no set price for any of our dinners but a goodwill donation is taken at the door and all proceeds go to keeping the Church doors open to all. Sunday School News We are getting to a wrap up on this year's Sunday School. The last class will be May 26th and then classes begin again in September.
The children learned a great deal this year. They learned about the power of prayer and the power of kindness to others and throughout the year we had fun. They studied the effects that judging others can have and the power of faith, hope, charity and love. If you would like to bring your child or children to Sunday School, it is held during worship every Sunday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. We welcome little ones from 3-years to 12-years and if you have a teen that would like to help and be a teacher's assistant, please let us know. We look forward to a new start in September and another chance to teach the children about God's love and to having fun! |
